Pumpkin Bread

3 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
1 large can of pumpkin ( 15oz. )
4 eggs
3 1/2 cups of flour
2 teas. baking soda
1 teas. baking powder
1 teas. salt
1 teas. of cinnamon
1 teas. nutmeg
1/2 teas. cloves
*1/2 allspice or ginger
1/2 cup water


In a large bowl, combine sugar, oil and eggs.

Add pumpkin and mix well.

Combine dry ingredients; add to the pumpkin mixture alternately with the water. Mix the mixture well.


Pour into 2 greased loaf pans

9in.x5in.x3in. (approximate)

Bake at 350. for 60 to 70 minutes or until done. Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then remove bread from pans and allow the bread to cool

complety!


Yeild; 2 loaves.

Best Ever Banana Bread


3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2-1/2  teas. Baking powder

1 teas. Soda

1-1/2 teas. Salt

1-1/3 cups sugar

2/3 cup shortening

4 eggs

2 cups mashed bananas

*Can add chopped  walnuts as well…..

Combine flour, baking powder, soda, and salt; mix well and set aside.

Combine sugar and shortening;

Cream until light and fluffy.  Add eggs; beat well. Stir in dry ingredients alternately with bananas (and walnuts), do not beat.

Spoon batter into 2 greased and floured 9-x5-x3 inch loaf pans.

Bake aat 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until done.
Yeild; 2 loaves.
